How to Add Pictures to a Text Document – Master it by Learning the 6 Simple Steps
So, you want to know how to add pictures to the text document?
The steps for inserting pictures into Microsoft Word documents are the same to both Word 2003 and Word 2007, but the way you access the controls varies. The below steps I am going to show you will be related to Word 2003 version, but I will add few notes within the steps to point you in the right direction if you are using Word 2007.
So, how do you add pictures to a text document? It is like this…
In you document, click the spot where you want to place your picture Choose “insert” from the tool bar, and press pictures from the drop down menu and select “from file”. In Word 2007 version, user can click on the Insert tab and click the Picture icon. Either way, you will see a variation of the standard file-opening dialog box pops up Now, locate and select the picture you want to use and then click Insert. You picture should insert into your document now! After that, click the picture to select it and then choose “Format” and then click on “Picture to set the initial formatting options for the picture”. If you are using Word 2007, you might skip this step because the format tab should pop into view as soon as you insert your picture. All the options for formatting your picture appear on the same tap, so you can also skip step 5 and 6. Now, click the layout tap and set the wrapping style option. This setting is used to determine the text wrapping which affect how the program positions your photos with respect to the text Finally visit the other tabs of the dialog box to continue formatting your text and then click OK to close the dialog box.
Extra Tips: If you want to move the picture on your document, you can simply click and drag it. If you want to resize the photo, you can drag a corner handle to increase or reduce the size of the photos. Please note that enlarging the photo will reduce image quality dramatically.
